Robert and fellow Co-Founder and Partner of DD Quantum Expert, Ray Choong, are designing and building an application which will quantify the amount contractors are entitled to for additional costs incurred due to delay and disruption to the progress of construction and engineering works.
The name of the application is the “DD Quantum Expert App”; in short, the “DD App”.
WHAT IS DD APP?
The DD App quantifies the contractor’s entitlement to additional costs incurred due to delay and disruption to its work from the data inputted into the App by the user.
The DD App guides the user of the App, step-by-step through the process, to quantify the contractor’s entitlement to financial reimbursement for delay and disruption to the progress of its works under the following heads of claim:
Preliminaries / on-site overheads
Claims from subcontractors
Head office / off-site overheads and profit
THE DD APP GUIDANCE
The DD App provides the App user with detailed guidance on how to quantity each head of claim.
The guidance sets out step-by-step how to carry out the calculations and also provides detailed explanations of why the calculations are conducted in the manner being carried out.
SUPPORTING CALCULATIONS AND GRAPHICS
The DD App user will be able to print all its calculations in a way that is presentable to who will finally assess the claim.
An essential part of a contractor’s claim submission is to clearly illustrate why, how and when the additional costs due to delay and disruption were incurred. The DD App will provide graphics that can be printed that illustrate to the greatest extent possible, when the additional costs claimed were incurred and therefore assist the contractor to further explain to the person or entity to whom the claim is made why and how the costs claimed were incurred. The graphics will be generated by, and be a function of, the data inputted by the App user.
The DD App is currently being developed but if you’d like to register your interest in accessing the App please click here to register.
